April

At the beginning of April, Wyatt got his first hair cut. We didn't do much, just a little off the top. It had gotten to where the top was coming down over his ears, so Travis just trimmed it up a bit. It's funny, though, cause a lady at WalMart the other day was asking how we got his hair to look like his dad's. haha! It does look like he's had it faded on the sides, but that's just that way his hair is! For now anyways....
Here are a few pictures from Easter. We just did a little Easter egg hunt in the front yard.

Travis' dad came to visit us the week after Easter for a few days and we had a nice time. We were able to plant our garden while he was here. We also took him down to Kansas City for dinner one night and had a really good time. Here is a picture of Wyatt with his Papa.
Had to get a bathtub picture of Wyatt....
At the end of the month, we went up to Omaha for a night. We stayed at this hotel that has two slides and a fountain in the swimming pool! The kids loved it! The next morning we went to the Omaha Zoo. It was amazing! They have and indoor jungle, desert, and a really neat aquarium. The girls are still talking about it and ask at least once a day when we are going back! I guess it's going to have to be a regular event for our family!
Waterfall in the jungle.
River in the Jungle.
Rope bridge in the Jungle.
Water tunnel at the Aquarium.
This penguin just stood in one spot and watched all the people walking by. It was pretty funny. He didn't even care that his buddies in the back are getting all of the food!
And after that, we kind of forgot to take anymore pictures.....oops! One more thing that happened at the zoo....we stopped for a snack, Pringles. A peacock wandered our way and just watched us eat, so Kaity threw a chip on the ground for her. We told her that we're not suppose to feed the animals, but by then, the peacock was ready for more and just staring at Kaity's chips. Kaity looked away for just a second, but that was long enough for the peacock to swipe the chip right out of her hand!! Kaity was laughing so hard she was in tears! It really was funny!
Wyatt got his first two teeth this month and has started walking along the furniture. Kaitlyn had her Kindergarten screening and they tell us she is ready for school. We are all very excited for her. Abby can't stop talking about her birthday.....which, by the way, isn't until October. She wants a Tinkerbell cake, Tinkerbell presents, balloons, candles, and goody bags!! Oh yeah, and silly string too! I guess it's a good thing we still have 5 months to plan it!!

Picture update

Getting started on the Christmas presents.

We used this picture for our Christmas card this year.

I really liked this one too, but Wyatt was making a weird face.....and drooling.

Doesn't Grandpa Boxley look excited to see the kids? lol

We had a big snow storm on Christmas Eve. This huge snow drift formed in front of the house. If you look closely, you can see Travis staning by the garage door.

Me next to the snow drift.

These are from an ice storm we had in the middle of January.

As you can tell, Wyatt is too big for his swing!!

The girls being silly.

Travis went to a class in Virginia beach and got this bandana kind of thing. He thought it would be cute to try it on Wyatt......I think he was right.

More from our ice storm. It looks like everything is covered in ice needles.

Wyatt is so stinkin cute....even with food on his shirt.

Kaity dancing.

Our new living room furniture. If you look at the top of this post at our Christmas pictures, you'll see we didn't have any furniture in this living room. We've never lived in a house with two living areas before, so we finally went and picked something out about a month ago.

The girls built a snowman with Daddy's help.

Our dog Boomer. Looks the same as always, but he posed so nicely for the camera, I thought I would add it.

All smiles.

Thinking about coming to get me.

On his way.....

There's no stopping him now! He's been crawling for a few weeks now. Doing a pretty good job, too!

Just wanted to touch base here. Things are going well with us. Wyatt has been rolling over for a little more than a month now. He is eating solids now and loves everything we have given him. His favorite is sweet potatoes, but loves anything that has meat in too. We keep thinking he may be getting a tooth in, but have yet to see or feel anything sprouting in there. We have been trying to go to the mall two or three times a week while it's too cold to play outside. We have a nice play area at the mall here and the kids just love going there and meeting new people every time.

We recently went to my parents' place to help them get their house ready to put on the market. It was a crazy week. Travis would get up and try to work on a project in the morning, thinking he could finish before my dad got home and they would end up having to work on it the rest of the day....sometimes till after dinner. While we did get quite a bit accomplished, it didn't feel like it, cause there was so much more we were hoping to do while we were there.

The snow keeps coming. We will get a bunch of it, it melts and it comes right back. I love the snow, but I'm ready for some spring. We finally have a nice place where we can plant a garden and I'm excited to get out and get my hands dirty. We haven't planted a garden since we lived in Oklahoma, and that was four years ago. We have big plans for big projects when it finally warms up around here. Hopefully we can accomplish them all this year.

Also, Travis and I are working on a cookbook/scrapbook. We have all of his mom's recipes and decided we want to organize them in a kind of scrapbook. He keeps saying he misses this and that of his mom's recipes, but have a hard time finding them when we want them, so hopefully this will work for us.

No pictures this time. Just wanted to let everyone know we are still alive.....although I think Coty may be the only one that actually reads this.... Anyway! Till next time!
